Taylor Swift, full Taylor Alison Swift. American singer/songwriter who's achieved huge success with the tales she recounts about her early heartbreak. Swift started to exhibit an enthusiasm for the industry of music at a young age. The trajectory of her career was rapid through the play of kids to her first public appearance in front of thousands. Swift began writing music in the teen years. She sang The Star-Spangled Banner for a Philadelphia 76ers NBA game. Swift was inspired by artists who played country music, like Shania Twain, the Dixie Chicks as well as the Chicks in order to write original music that expressed the apathy she experienced by the age of 13. Swift was 13 when her parents made the choice to dispose of their Pennsylvania farm and relocate to Hendersonville Tennessee. She could spend all of her time to reaching out to the country music labels that were based in Nashville.
